Shivraj Singh Chouhan is a member of the political party Bharatiya Janata party and an Indian politician. He is serving as the 18th Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh from the year 2020 to 2023. Chouhan was a member of the Legislative Assembly in the state of MP. He won the election of the year 1990 and served as the longest CM staying in Madhya Pradesh.

Early Life
He was born on 5 March 1959 in Budhni, Madhya Pradesh, India. Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s age is 65 years old as of 2024. He completed his school education at Model Higher Secondary School in TT Nagar in Bhopal.
During his school time he was elected as the president of the Student Union, and he was intelligent in his studies. He did his M.A. in Philosophy from Barkatullah University in Bhopal with a Gold Medal. In 1972, when he was only 13 years old, entered into RSS and volunteered against emergencies in 1976. He joined Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (A.B.V.P.) In1978,and became Organizing Secretary. In 1980, he was appointed as General Secretary of A.B.V.P.

In the year 2017 Ramdas Puri took off his shoes and pledged that he would not wear shoes until the BJP became victorious in state M.P. His pledge was not fulfilled in the last six years. For the last 6 years he was in bare feet. In 2020 BJP came into power. In December 2023 his pledge met with a landslide victory in the MP. Career
He became a Member of Parliament in Lok Sabha from the year 1991 to 2005 when preceded by Atal Bihari Vajpayee and succeeded by Rampal Singh under the constituency of Vidisha. During his career, he served as a Member of the Committee on Rural and Urban Development and the Ministry of Human Resources Development from the year 1996 to 1997.
In the year 1998, on 12th Lok Sabha, he was re-elected and served the Ministry of Employment and Rural Areas from the year 1998 to 1999. It was the time of 13th Lok Sabha then he served Agriculture from the year 1999 to 2000. He became National President of BJP Yuva Morcha from the year 2000 to 2003.
Indeed, when he was State- President of Bhartiya Janata Party on 30 November 2005 he became Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh with a margin of 36000 votes in the year 2006, he won from Budhni Constituency. After Kamal Nath’s resignation he became chief minister on 23 March 2020 of Madhya Pradesh. With the ticket of BJP he contested and won the Legislative Assembly Election of MP with a margin of 1, 04,974 votes.
Controversy
- In the year 2007, lawyer and Congress leader Ramesh Sahu ordered an inquiry of Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his wife for that scam. According to his allegation, she bought four dumpers with the price of Rs.2 Crore and leased them to a cement factory. So, she gave a false husband name and false address. She named her husband SR Singh. Under IPC 420, Lokayukta police filed corruption case but in the year 2011. However, both got clean-chit because there was adequate evidence
- In the year 2009, he was denounced because of comments on local people of MP “not Biharis”. But later on he clarified his statement and said that “everyone was welcome in MP”. All in all, those comments created controversy which became very large with time but it was solved on time.
