Arnab Goswami is an Indian journalist and news anchor and is well known for his aggressive style. He is editor-in-chief and managing director of channel Republic TV. From 2006 to 2016 he worked as an anchor for ET Now and Times Now. In a brief period, he also served the NDTV and the Telegraph. His show in Times now was “The Newshour” In that show live debating was the format of the show and it was telecasted at 9 PM. - Shashi Tharoor filed a case against Arnab on 26 May 2017 in the Delhi High Court. In the show, Arnab was connecting the Sunanda Pushkar case with Tharoor.
- In 2020, there were several FIRs filed against him because he said derogatory words about Congress Minister Sonia Gandhi. That was a very low phase but soon he handled it.
- In 2018, he circulated the 30-second clips on social media and stated that” the most shameless bunch of people has ever seen”. That was the time in Kerala was flooding but eventually, he spoke that it was not for the people of Kerala it was for the Tukde-Tukde Gang.
- On 4th November 2020, he was arrested in the morning with the joint operation of Mumbai police and Raigad Police in the case of the suicide of Architect Anvay Naik. he designed the studio of Arnab. Naik and his mother were found dead in Alibaug house and his wife claims that a suicide note was also collected. In a suicide note, he claimed that Arnab Goswami was responsible for his death. On 11 November 2020, he granted interim bail through the Supreme Court under two judges Indira Banerjee and DY Chandrachud.
