Mukesh Ambani Biography: Early Life
Mukesh Ambani is an Indian businessman and he is chairman of Reliance Industries Limited. He is the 13th richest person in the world and the richest person in India according to Wikipedia. His company is the most valuable company according to market value. His father’s name is Dhirubhai Ambani and his mother’s name is Kokilaben Ambani. His younger brother’s name is Anil Ambani along with two sisters Nina Bhadrashyam Kothari and his second sister name Dipti Dattaraj Salgaonkar. In the year 1958, his father Dhirubhai decided to move back to the “Vimal” company later that name changed and the name become “Only Vimal”. The whole family lived in Bhuleshwar; Mumbai in the year 1970 that house was only a two-bedroom apartment. The Ambani family lived in a communal society and he was using public transport for travel.
Qualification /Education
He completed his schooling from Hill Grange High School, Mumbai. His close associate Anand Jain and his brother are both out of the same school. He joined St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Institute of chemical technology he completed his B.E. degree in chemical engineering. After that, he joined Stanford University for MBA but he withdrew in the year 1980 to help his father to build reliance as a fast-growing company. Because his father believed that experience he could gain through practice not just sitting in a classroom. My real-life skill improved after working in the company.
Ambani’s Career
His family business is growing so in the year 1981 he started to help his father. At that time they dealt with two products one was refining and the second one was petrochemical. Mukesh wanted to expand his business so he started service in retail and telecommunication.
According to Forbes Last ten years he maintains his position as the 26th richest person in the world. In the year 2020 he ranked 6th richest person in the world according to the source of Forbes magazine he bet jack ma who is the executive chairman of Alibaba Group.
Mukesh bought a franchise of Mumbai Indian for Indian Premier League (IPL). In the year 2012 according to Forbes, he was the world’s richest sports owner. He is also the founder of a football league in India named is Indian Super League. He is living in Antilia, the world’s most expensive building because of its value of $1 billion.

He decided to marry Nita Ambani in the year 1985. They were blessed with two sons and one daughter. Anant Ambani, Akash Ambani his sons and Isha Ambani his daughter. He made headlines because he spent $100 million on the wedding of her daughter.
Business Journey of Mukesh Ambani
After his father’s death, both brothers parted the empire. After the partition, Mukesh made wealth not only for his family but also for thousands of shareholders and employees. Due to their sense of business, he scaled up his business to greater heights and become an icon for businesses in India.
He helped his father to set up PFY (polyester filament yarn) manufacturing plant in the year 1980. He officially joined ‘reliance industries in the year 1981. PFY licence they got from the Government of India. There was a lot of businessman in line like Tata, Birla and others also. But Dhirubhai got the licence.
In the year 1981 Dhirubhai pulls out his eldest son from Stanford where he was perusing his MBA. Mukesh was in charge of reliance vertical integration which is transformed from textile to polyester and further petrochemical. There Mukesh was giving daily reports to Rasikbhai Meswani who was the executive director of the project. The company was built from scratch and Dhirubhai treated him like his business partner and allowed him the freedom to express his view about any deal in the company. All his principle come into practice when Rasikbhai died in the year 1985 along with this Dhirubhai suffered a stroke then all business and family responsibilities come into the shoulder of Mukesh and his brother. Then Mukesh set up reliance communication limited which was the main focus on information and communication technology.
As business is divided between two brothers reliance infocomm Limited mainly focuses on information and technology. The younger brother took over-reliance communication limited.
In the year 2008 company bought the IPL team name of team Mumbai India worth $111.9 million. His company operates in production, refining and marketing and telecommunication.
His father died when he suffered from a second stroke on 6th July 2002. Both brothers’ tensions elevated because of the distribution of the empire in the year 2004. Their mother wanted that they live happily without any dispute. But the company split into two parts Ambani received control over-reliance industries limited and Indian Petrochemical Corporation Limited. This was approved by the Bombay high court in December 2005.
In February year 2016, Mukesh launched a 4G smartphone with the brand name LYF. In year 2016 it was India’s third largest mobile phone-selling brand in India it’s commonly known as Jio. In the year 2016 month September, he increased his shares. He announced the Jio phone for 0. This made a boom in the telecommunication industry. Now Jio’ serve the best service to people.
