He is an Indian politician, International cricketer, and television personality. I talk about his recent position in India he is president of the Punjab Pradesh congress committee. He was minister of tourism and cultural affairs in the local government of Punjab.
He was a professional cricketer. He spent over 19 years in international cricket from 1981-84. In the world cup 1987, he scored half-centuries. He was a top-order batsman. He played 51 tests and 136 one day international for our country. He is also called “sixer Sidhu”. Mr. Sidhu started his cricket journey in the year 1981, when he played for Punjab against the Amritsar team. Through the opening of the inning, he made 51 runs without running out. Then he was called up for the Indian Test team in the year 1983. He scored 122 runs. They were playing against the touring West Indies team. Sidhu played for the national team and four years later, at the world cup he made his first debut against Australia in ODI (one day international). He made 79 balls 73 runs, including five sixes and four fours. India loses the match. In the next game, the match against New Zealand Sidhu scored 75 runs hit four sixes and four fours. That helps to win the world cup. He also scored a half-century against Australia and Zimbabwe (51 and 50) he becomes the first player half-century debut who debut in the one-day international. Then they won the Asian cup trophy.
He returns to the test team
He made his comeback after five years replace the payer Mohinder Amaranth with the test against New Zealand in the year 1988. In the match, they were batting for 295 minutes. He made 116 in 195 balls. Include four sixes and 12 fours. Sidhu dropped from the Test series against Pakistan. He announced his retirement from the game in the year December 1999. His total score and he played 51 test matches in 100 ODI and scoring 7000 international runs.

In the year 2001, when Indian team toured Sri Lanka Sidhu applied for commentator and due to his speaking ability he selected and that commentator match telecast on the Sony max. He signed up for commentary for ESPN-star and also with ten sports. He also appeared on the news channel for expert views about cricket matches.
Sidhu joins the television show named The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and other show names Funjabi Chak De and also part of the show Kareena Kareena. He was also a contestant in the show Bigg Boss 6. He exited the show due to some political reason in the year 2012.
