Neeraj Chopra’s age is 27 years old as of 2024. He celebrated his birthday on 24 December 1997 in Khandra village, Panipat Distt in Haryana.
Neeraj Chopra diamond league 2023 in the grand finale at Hayward Field he fouled his two attempts 83.80m, 81.37m fouls 80.90m and 80.74m. His first throw was 85m then he qualified in DL Finals and reached third spot. In the year 2022 Zurich will throw 88.44m. In that league, the winner was Jakub Vadlejch with his best throw of 84.24m. He won a bronze medal in the Budapest Worlds and also won a silver medal in the Tokyo Olympics.

On 4 August 2021, Neeraj made his debut in the Olympics at Japan National Stadium. He marked his javelin throw of 86.65m he qualified and entered into the final. On 7 August he threw 87.58m on the second attempt and won the gold medal. He became the first Indian who won the Olympic medallist post-independence. India won a total of 7 medals including Chopra’s medal. He was the second Indian who won a gold medal, individual gold medallist Abhinav Bindra; won the 10m rifle in the Summer Olympics 2008.

Career
He started his professional training for a Javelin throw from Sports Authority of India in Panchkula, Haryana. He practiced for competitions in Tau Devilal Stadium, Panchkula, and Haryana.
He also participated in various national and international competitions like Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and Asian Championship. In the year 2016, he was also selected as a Junior Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army with rank 4 parent unit Rajputana Rifles. He completed his training at the Army Sports Institute, Pune. Now he was promoted to Subedar from Naib Subedar.
In the year 2018, he was selected as a flag taker in India’s opening ceremony. In the year 2020, he qualified for the Tokyo Olympics. Klaus Bartonietz, Gary Calvert, Werner Daniels, and Naseem Ahmad were his professional trainers.
