Shilpa Shetty
She is an Indian actress, producer, author, and businesswoman. She started her career with the first film named Baazigar in the year 1993 and was nominated for the Filmfare award and she won for best-supporting actress. Her next successful film was Main Khiladi Tu Anari in 1994. Her most appreciated film in which she was appreciated for acting and looks, was Dhadkan in the year 2000. Her hit films likemes Indian (2001) and Rishtey (2002). She won the Filmfare for best supporting actress. In her film Phir Milenge in the year 2004, she played the role of a woman who suffers from AIDS. For this film, she got the best actress award given by Filmfare Awards. She appeared in the year 2005, film named “Dus.” This film also successfully ran to the box-office. Controversies
Offensive charge: in the year 2006 at the month April court issued a non-bailable warrant against Shilpa and Reema Sen. Their obscene manner posing photograph published in the Tamil newspaper .petitioner submitted that published ” very sexy and medium blow-ups” in the year 2005 and that issued in January 2006. Shetty respond that she had not got a court summons.
Racism
Shilpa was one of the contestants who participated in the British reality show “Celebrity Big Brother”. She was bullied by one of the constants (Jade Goody, Jo O’Meara, and Danielle) of the show. Shilpa was also mocked from the Indian accent that also referred to her as “dog” by a contestant. That situation resulted in media coverage and also got a response from the UK government and the Indian government.
Kissing incident
American actor Richard Gere kissed her repeatedly during her AIDS-free awareness event. Shiv Sena responded rudely to this incident by burning the effigies of Gere with the stick. The protest began in cities like Varanasi, Delhi, Bhopal, and Mumbai. Some groups want an apology from Shilpa about that incident. Her movies are banned in many cities. On 26th April 2007 Indian court in Rajasthan issued a warrant for Shetty and Gere’s arrest. Chief justice of India in Supreme Court dismisses that suit and suspended the arrest warrant.
Personal life of Shilpa Shetty
When she was working with Akshay Kumar in the film Main Khiladi Tu Anari in the year 1994. She starts dating him at the shooting of the film Insaaf (1997). Akshay Kumar just broke their relationship with Raveena Tandon. Shilpa spokes openly about the relationship of each other. Indian media speculated that they may be engaged but reported that Kumar want her to leave films and settle down with him. So she confronts the media that they are no plans to marry. A couple broke up in the set of film Dhadkan in the year 2000.
In the year February 2009, she got engaged with a businessman from London. Both co-owners with the Indian-premier League (IPL) cricket team name Rajasthan Royals. These two got married on 22 November 2009. Shetty gives birth to a son on 21st May 2012. Both have a girl on15th February 2020 through surrogacy. She never considers herself as beautiful because she says that “see my first film and me today” She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer because she is deeply interested in dancing she increasing her dancing skills
