He was born on July 30th, 1973 in the state of Punjab Moga. His mother’s name was Saroj Sood and his father’s name was Shakti Sood. His mother was a teacher. His father was a professor. Sonu parents want their son to study well and also do well in their profession. He has two sisters named Ms. Malavika Sachar and another sister named Monica Sood.
He was raised in a middle-class family. Then he met the love of his life on September 26th, 1996. These couples have two sons named Ayaan Sood and Eshaan sood.

He did his early education in Moga, Punjab. When he completed his schooling at the school named Sacred Heart School, Moga, Punjab, India. He moved to Nagpur for further studies. He did his B.tech in electronic engineering from the college YCCE (Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering) in Nagpur. He completed his study well and he was a studious student due to educated parents. He never compromised with study to complete his dream of acting. In the year 2000, he appeared in the Telugu film Hands Up. In the year 2001, he appeared in the Telugu film Majunu. After got success in the Telugu industry, he stat to work in Hindi films. He starred in his first Hindi film, Shaheed-E-Azam he perform the character of Bhagat Singh in the year 2002. On July 25, 2020, a video became viral in which a farmer’s daughter plowing the farm like a bull pulls the yoke with her shoulders. Sonu Sood sends a tractor to their home. On August 5, 2020, he also helped the 101 medical students from Tamil Nadu who were stranded in Moscow during the period of lockdown. They reached Chennai safely through the charted flight that was arranged by Sonu Sood and his team. On his birthday, he launched a website and app called Parvasi Rojgar.
